The nature of the Keweenaw is such that you can access old logging and other dirt roads for hiking or biking.  It is important to remember you are in a wilderness setting and to take necessary precautions; e.g., day pack with water, food and emergency items.  Always leave your itinerary with someone or a note on your cabin door.

The Peninsula is perfect for sea kayaking, hiking, and mountain biking.  There are old mines to explore or agates to find along stretches of Lake Superior shoreline. If a round of golf is on the agenda, the beautiful Keweenaw Mountain Lodge is nearby. Then of course there are the waterfalls and lighthouses to see. Shopping and fine dining are just minutes away. Be sure to check out the Links page for other things to see and do.

Lake Bailey is a shallow wilderness lake; it is NOT a power boat or swimming lake.  A canoe, as well as various types of kayaks, and bikes are available for use.
